Requirements on Phase II assessments for Credit by Demonstrated Mastery
Artifacts/Portfolios/Products
Students will have a specific time frame to complete a comprehensive assignment that may consist of artifacts, writing samples, work products, a product, a project, or a portfolio that addresses at least 80% of the content standards for the course in which the students is attempting to receive credit.
The student will be asked to present his/her work before a review committee and much receive a score of 94 or greater to be eligible for Credit by Demonstrated Mastery.
Required scores for Phase I assessments for Credit by Demonstrated Mastery
End-of-Course Tests (EOCs)
Students must achieve the following scale scores exhibiting a superior understanding to qualify for the Phase II artifact development:
Math I = minimum scale score of 264
Biology = minimum scale score of 261
English II = minimum scale score of 165
North Carolina Final Exams
Students must answer a minimum of 90% of NCFE questions correctly to qualify for the Phase II artifact development.
Non-EOCs
Students must score a 94 or higher to qualify for the Phase II artifact development.
CTE Post-Assessments
Students must score a 93 or higher to qualify for the Phase II artifact development.
